Edward Temme

Edward Harry Temme (September 16, 1904 – September 26, 1977) was a British water polo player who competed in the 1928 Summer Olympics and in the 1936 Summer Olympics.

He was born in Stratford Road, Plaistow and died in Padova, Italy.

Temme was a member of the British team in the 1928 tournament. He played all four matches.

Eight years later he was part of the British team which finished eighth in the 1936 tournament. He played six matches.

He was the first man to swim the English Channel in both ways. From France to England in 1927 and from England to France in 1934.
